2025 KEN JONES TROPHIES<\/strong>
Great Lever & Farnworth Golf Club hosted this year Ken Jones Trophies.
Fingers were crossed hoping for a sunny day. Apart from a shower at the start of play, the day cleared and the sun shone..
The course was in excellent condition,, which led to good scores.
A big thank you from our President, Brian and our Secretary for supporting the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President’s Special Prize for Nearest the Pin on 18th <\/strong>was:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Warren Bainbridge<\/strong>, just edging out Andy Crawford excellent early effort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Overall Results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Richardson (Harwood) and Ian Parsons (Deane) <\/strong>with a brilliant score of 44 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Place <\/strong>Aiden Murphy (Hindley Hall) and Malcolm Woodward (Deane) <\/strong>with a excellent 43 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third Place<\/u><\/strong> Ray Perry and Howard Nicholson with a <\/strong>very creditable 42 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once again thank you for supporting this and our other golf events this year.
Have a great rest of the golfing season and we look forward to seeing you at our events in 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2025 INTER SOCIETY MATCH v BURY<\/strong>
The match with the Bury Society took place at Great Lever & Farnworth.
Bury having been victorious in the last there meeting were looking forward to four in a row.
A very competitive match was played out in ideal conditions, on a course in excellent condition, resulting in a very close result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2025 INTER SOCIETY MATCH v MANCHESTER<\/strong>
This years inter society match against Manchester captains was held at Deane Golf Club.
The start looked to be a little wet, but it soon cleared and the course was then awash in sunshine.
Thank you for playing in today’s closely fought match. 
Feel proud – it was a really great team result, against strong players and fellow Captains.

2025 CAPTAINS GOBLETS COMPETITION<\/strong>

This years Captains Goblets Competition was held at Deane Golf Club on the 20th May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to our overall winners: John McKenna (Regent Park) and current Captain of Dunscar Norman Guy,
who narrowly won on a card play off with 41 points.
Unfortunately, Norman had to leave before the presentation, to preform duties at his club.
Our captain Andy Mills presented the Goblets to John McKenna, who received them on behalf of both winners.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

2024 KEN JONES TROPHIES COMPETITION<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our last event of the year, the Ken Jones Trophies was played for at Breightmet Golf Club on Friday 13th September.
What a competition it turned out to be.<\/strong>
The two’s competition had a two on the par 3, 10th hole; a two on the par 4, 5th hole, and the 10 hole was the scene of a hole in 1.
The Ken Jones Trophies competition had a card playoff for first place, and a four card playoff for third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2024 ANNUAL DINNER HOSTED BY HART COMMON GOLF CLUB<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This years Annual Dinner was hosted by our Captain |Roy Smith of Hart Common Golf Club.
An excellent attendance by our members created a memorable evening for our guests.
