2026 CAPTAINS GOBLETS. took place at Turton Golf Club on Friday 15th May.
This years Captains Goblets event was held at the lovely Turton GC last Friday, on a dry day with a bit of sunshine thrown in too (albeit with a bit of a nippy north westerly wind)! It was a tightly fought contest, between 44 Golfers (22 pairs) with the winning pair achieving 41 points, followed by 4 x pairs on 40 points! We were also treated to some “fine dining” at Turton’s “Nicks Restaurant” after our game, in what was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Thank you all at Turton GC & Nicks Restaurant for your very kind hospitality given to us on the day.

2025 INTER SOCIETY MATCH v BURY
The match with the Bury Society took place at Great Lever & Farnworth.
Bury having been victorious in the last there meeting were looking forward to four in a row.
A very competitive match was played out in ideal conditions, on a course in excellent condition, resulting in a very close result.

2025 INTER SOCIETY MATCH v MANCHESTER
This years inter society match against Manchester captains was held at Deane Golf Club.
The start looked to be a little wet, but it soon cleared and the course was then awash in sunshine.
Thank you for playing in today’s closely fought match.
Feel proud – it was a really great team result, against strong players and fellow Captains.

2025 CAPTAINS GOBLETS COMPETITION
This years Captains Goblets Competition was held at Deane Golf Club on the 20th May.
who narrowly won on a card play off with 41 points.
Unfortunately, Norman had to leave before the presentation, to preform duties at his club.
Our captain Andy Mills presented the Goblets to John McKenna, who received them on behalf of both winners.

2024 KEN JONES TROPHIES COMPETITION
Our last event of the year, the Ken Jones Trophies was played for at Breightmet Golf Club on Friday 13th September.
What a competition it turned out to be.
The two’s competition had a two on the par 3, 10th hole; a two on the par 4, 5th hole, and the 10 hole was the scene of a hole in 1.
The Ken Jones Trophies competition had a card playoff for first place, and a four card playoff for third place.
2024 ANNUAL DINNER HOSTED BY HART COMMON GOLF CLUB
This years Annual Dinner was hosted by our Captain |Roy Smith of Hart Common Golf Club.
An excellent attendance by our members created a memorable evening for our guests.
